Assurance of Salvation Series - Part 1 The Message of John
This is our part one in a
series that we will be doing here at AFC on the subject of "Assurance of
Salvation". There is a lot of confusion, misunderstandings, wrong
teachings, wrong applications, etc., concerning the Assurance of
Salvation. Some people think this means a Christian can live like
hell, do whatever they wish in this world, and go to heaven. To
put it simply, that person who would claim this as a Christian would not
be a genuine Christian. Some people teach Christians can lose
their salvation. Some people will go on to state that those who
believe in the Assurance of Salvation are teaching a false gospel.
Some people say the doctrine of the Assurance of Salvation is false and
un-Biblical. We believe this is not the case when examining the
Bible Scriptures in context. Some people think this is
Calvinistic, which when closely examined it is not. The Assurance
of Salvation message is one of true hope, true grace, true mercy, true
faithfulness on God's part, not man...

Assurance of Salvation Series - Part 2 The Romans
Road
This is our second audio teaching on the
"Assurance of Salvation" going through the book of Romans. Our first audio
on the "Assurance of Salvation" was in the gospel of John and the Epistle of
First John. If you have not checked that one out, check it out.
This audio will be examining the doctrine of eternal security (also known as
Once Saved Always Saved) through what the apostle taught to those in Rome.
The main Scriptures from Romans examined will be: Romans 1:16-17;
Romans 3:21-4:5; Romans 5:1-10; Romans 8:1 & 35-39; Romans 10:9-13.
Below will be notes that were used in the audio and much more that was not
used but is here for your benefit to examine. |

Explaining and Defending the Trinity Live Paltalk
In this live audio discussion that took place in September 5,
2005 had some good discussions concerning the truth of the doctrine of the
Trinity, and we had people come to the microphone as well as from text and
share their beliefs. We discussed the Tri-Unity of God from both the
Old Testament and New Testament, things concerning Oneness Pentecostals
beliefs. It is a good listen to get a better understanding of what the
Bible teaches in context concerning the Trinity doctrine. |

Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Fact or Fiction?
The Evidence!
This audio
teaching is from April 9, 2006 declaring the love, grace, truth, and
evidence for the death and resurrection of Jesus. The evidence for the
death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most historical facts
in history. Either the resurrection of Jesus Christ is true or false,
fact or fiction, there is no middle ground. What you will be hearing
is the Biblical and logical facts that prove Jesus Christ existed, was the
Messiah, died and rose again according to Scriptures. This is the good
news that "whosoever" can be set free and have hope, peace, joy, and a life
that is fulfilled in Christ, and know that they have eternal life. |

Proof Jesus is God and Once
Saved Always Saved is true!
We had a solid room last week discussing Jesus is God and some things
about Once Saved Always Saved. (OSAS) There are many
misconceptions to the Deity of Jesus Christ, which were addressed in simple
terms. There are also many misunderstandings about what it means to be
saved and have eternal life in Christ, which were briefly addressed.

Once Saved Always Saved hmm!
This from our audio bible
study discussion we had in Paltalk. Our discussion was concerning the
doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved, examining if this doctrine is
true or false. We had a good turn out of people in our room with good
comments and questions from both on the microphone and in the text...The Once Saved Always Saved doctrine, also labelled OSAS
has been misunderstood, wrongly explained, taught against as un-Biblical,
called a false doctrine, among many things. To put this in simple terms
there are tons of websites and people (we cannot address them all) who
teach against the OSAS doctrine, however they are theologically in error.
This information will be explaining in simple terms what Once Saved
Always Saved (OSAS) is and is not. To to listen to audio and read

microphone their thoughts and it was very good. We towards the end had
a non-Christian person attempt to discredit what was shared by us concerning
Isaiah 48:12-16, but when examined his theory was proven wrong from
Scripture. You will enjoy this audio discussion as it had lots of

had a very interesting discussion with a Muslim person come in trying to say
Jesus was not crucified or raised from the dead, and that there were no

taught this, but does it really? We also had a discussion on Churches

Roman Catholicism Part 1 on Water
Baptism, and Church Fathers
In this live study
discussion chat we had a good room and good dialogues on the microphone.
The main emphasis in this discussion is on Church Fathers teachings on
water baptism and the Roman Catholic Church. Below will have various
links for further information for those who wish to examine this a bit
more for themselves. At AFC our view is, "We hold for doctrine
and practice to what the Scriptures teach, not on traditions or what
others have taught. Though we may not agree we don't have any less
respect for the Church Fathers or others in Church history. In the
end we want to hold to what God has clearly given us in Scripture which we
know is truth. We can learn from others no doubt, again though, the
standard is on what God's Word states."

Roman Catholicism Part 2 on
Sacraments, Salvation, and Mary
In this audio
study chat we had a good turn out again in Paltalk and good discussions on
the microphones and from the text chat. This is our second
discussion continuing the Roman Catholicism theme for the month of
January. In this FNA we discussed official Roman Catholicism from
The Catechism of the Catholic Church on topics such as Sacraments,
Salvation, and Mary. Many people are not aware of what true Roman
Catholicism teaches on the gospel message for salvation. Does the
Roman Catholic Church teach the true gospel or another gospel? What
is the true gospel for someone to be saved? What must a person do to
be saved according to the Roman Catholic Church vs. what the Bible
teaches? These are the main issues in this FNA concerning gospel of
the Roman Catholic Church, and if what they teach is a true or false
gospel message. If you did not get to be there live you are
encouraged to listen to this free from our ministry. We also have a
blog for people to share their comments. God bless and may you be

This is our third
edition concerning Roman Catholicism in our Friday Night Apologetics live

talked about but one of the central topics was on the truth concerning
Mary. Is Mary to be worshipped? Prayed to? Does she forgive sins? Is
she an Advocate, Mediatrix, Mediator, Mediatress, Intercessor along with
Jesus? We discussed from The Glories of Mary by St.
Alphonsus de Liguori. We also talked about the
control of the Roman Catholic Church leadership on it's members not being
able to understand the Bible without the council of the Popes, Magisterium,
Bishops, Canons of Trent official doctrines, and briefly addressing
the issues of Purgatory. Previously stated this was a good solid

Colossians Introduction
Study - Chapter 1:1-12
Welcome to FNA and our first of many going through
the book of Colossians. Paul had a desire to for the Christians in
Colossae to know true doctrine and in his epistle to them he encourages them
to grow in the faith, to know truth from falsehood, and to live for God
daily. During the time of this writing and the early church there were
false teachers misleading people in the name of Jesus, much like today!
During that time there were Gnostics, Ebionites, Judaizers, and various
philosophers. Check out our first study in Colossians and as always we
had good discussions. |

This is our second study going
through our theme of the book of Colossians and examining how what Paul
wrote back then applies to us today in the Christian church. Just as
there were false teachings and teachers back then there are many in like
manner today teaching very similar doctrines that the Christian church needs
to be aware of. How do the Gnostics, Ebionites, Philosophers, and
Judaizers of that day compare to us today? What modern day groups or
sects would compare those those groups back then? In this discussion
we talk about the Deity of Christ, the true gospel message, and the
importance of being knowing the truth. Share your thoughts from this

2. The significance of who raised Jesus from the

Arminianism Series Part 3 - Is
Eternal Security Satan's biggest lie?
Greetings from AFC and welcome to another Friday
Night Apologetics (FNA) weekly live Bible study discussion! This weeks
discussion is a continuation of our Arminianism series (part 3) where we are
examining the doctrinal teaching of those who teach Christians can lose
their salvation. In fact this is a special study in which we are going
through an audio teaching called "Are you sure they were never saved?" by
Dan Corner of Evangelical Outreach ministry. Dan Corner is a huge
opponent to those who believe in "Eternal Security", "Once Saved Always
Saved", "Assurance of Salvation" in Christ. At Evangelical Outreach
ministry there is tons of information supposedly exposing this doctrine as
being the biggest lie of Satan. Wow, what a charge that is!
Since we are currently going through the theme of Arminianism it is only
beneficial to examine the charges out there from those who teach so strongly
against Eternal Security.
There will be two studies going through Dan Corner
sermon at his church called "Are you sure they were saved?" in which he is
using Matthew 7:20-29 to teach that Christians can lose their salvation.
But does Matthew 7:20-29 really teach that Christians can lose their
salvation or does it affirm that Christians cannot lose their salvation,
thus proving the doctrine of Eternal Security? |

Does Regeneration Precede Faith?
Greetings to those of you who listen regularly to

examining what is called Calvinism, also known as Reformed theology, in
regards to the acronym TULIP. (also known as the 5 Points of Calvinism)...
In this study I have shared some information from a familiar Calvinist named

Calvinism Part 2 Does
Regeneration Precede Faith in Jesus Christ?
Welcome to another Friday Night Apologetics
weekly live study where we are currently examining the topic of Calvinism.
This is our part 2 in which we discussed John 3 in connection to what it
means to become born again, and asking the question if regeneration precedes
faith in Jesus Christ? Last week our study was examining John 1:12-13
and if you have not checked that out you should.
[What does born again
mean? Does regeneration precede faith or belief in Jesus Christ?
Can a person seek the spiritual things of God without being born again?
Does John 3 teach the doctrine of total depravity is true or does John 3
teach that mankind has been given a choice and has free will to choose or
reject the gospel of Jesus Christ? Did Jesus Christ die for only an
elect chosen to be saved or does the gospel message have application to the
world meaning whosoever? (mankind)]
This weeks discussion focused mostly on John 3:1-16
and we had lots chatting in text and on the microphones, that being many
Calvinists and non-Calvinists. Overall I believe we had some very good
discussions in the room from various points of view. The whole point I
hope people get out of this study is the fact that John 3 is not about one
verse but is a unit of Scriptures pointing out many important truths.
Many within the Calvinism (also known as reformed theology) belief teach
regeneration precedes faith in Jesus Christ and use John 3 to prove it.
I believe that if one is Scripturally honest they would not believe the
traditions that have been passed on to us from the past and would allow the
consistent truth of God's Word speak, and would see that John 3 teaches that
people can seek spiritual things of God and that God's love is for mankind
to be saved. But God's love only benefits those who put their trust in
Jesus Christ for their eternal life, and those who don't will die in their
sins.

Calvinism Examined Part 3 -
Does John 3:16-18 teach Limited Atonement? Who did Jesus die for?
Total Depravity?
Greetings to all of you who have been to our Friday Night Apologetics
studies and those who have not. In this study we are continuing in our
theme series on Calvinism in the gospel of John chapter 3 verses 16-18,
(John 3:16-18) and we had a very good room with lots of Calvinists and
non-Calvinists in the room, and those of you who were there a special thanks
for the participation. This discussion was a longer one than normal
and you will most likely not listen to it all at one time, but we do
encourage you to listen to the whole thing however you choose to. Our
main discussion was on: Who did Jesus die for? Is the cross of
Christ limited? Is God's love for anyone to be saved or just certain people
whom were preordained to believe? These are just some of the many
questions and observations that we talked about in our part 3 series of
"Calvinism Examined". You
are encouraged to share your thoughts from this study with us by checking
out our blog at

Calvinism Examined Part 4 -
Whom did Jesus die for?
Welcome to another Friday Night Apologetics live Bible study. In this weeks
discussion we are continuing from our last study on the topic of Limited
Atonement. Whom did Jesus Christ die for? Did Jesus Christ die for
everyone? Did Jesus Christ die for only a particular group of people to be
saved? Who benefits from Jesus Christ sacrificial atonement on the cross and
through His resurrection? Does Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross save all
people, namely are all saved because Jesus died for all mankind? Is
universalism true in regards to what Jesus Christ accomplished through His
death on the cross and His resurrection? Is reformed theology (also called
Calvinism) true in regards to what Jesus Christ accomplished through His
death on the cross and His resurrection? Is Arminianism true in regards to
what Jesus Christ accomplished through His death on the cross and His
resurrection? These are some of the various questions we addressed in
our study that deal with the doctrine of Limited Atonement within reformed
theology, also known as Calvinism. If you have comments or questions you
wish to share please contact us or you can share that at our blog.

Calvinism Examined Part 5 -
Limited Atonement
Hello
there and welcome to another Friday Night Apologetics study discussing
Calvinism. In this study we are continuing the topic of Limited
Atonement and examining John Calvin's commentaries & teachings by
looking at John 1:29, John 4:7-42, 1 John
2:1-2, and other thoughts John Calvin from Matthew 23:37, John 5:40, 2 Peter
3:9. (Limited Atonement comes from what is called the 5 points of
Calvinism, also known as the TULIP) Did John Calvin really believe in
Limited Atonement? Did John Calvin really believe that people did not
have a free will? Did John Calvin know what he believed? You may
be shocked to find out...

Calvinism Examined Part 7 - Unconditional Election
Welcome to another Friday Night Apologetics study where we are continuing in
our series on Calvinism. In this study we discussed the U of the
TULIP, also what is called the 5 points of Calvinism. The U stands for
Unconditional Election. For some people who may not be familiar with
this doctrine, this can be somewhat confusing, and we pray that you take the
time to listen to this study, (and our previous studies) and take time to
research this more for yourselves, and most importantly seek God for
discernment and understanding. In this study we had a good turn our in
our room and we had some very good discussions in the text chat and on the
microphone. Below will be some references from this discussion.
You are invited to email us with comments or questions, and you can check
out our blog where people can interact with one another and discuss things
openly.

Calvinism Examined Part 8 - Unconditional Election 2 Romans 8
Welcome to another edition of Friday Night
Apologetics live study in Paltalk. In our previous study we discussed
Matthew 21 & 22 with Romans 9:30-33 and Romans 10, and in this study we
dived right into Romans 8:29 examining what the text says about God
foreknowledge, predestination and election. Those who hold to what is
called reformed theology, what has been called doctrines of grace, 5 points
of Calvinism known as the TULIP, use Romans 8:29-30 to prove that God has
chosen people to be saved based upon His determination and good pleasure,
and that no one chooses God period. In this discussion we examined
what these verses say and what words mean, and we had a very good turn out
in our chat room, and amazingly we had a good amount of people in the room
that hold to reformed theology. I believe this audio discussion was
one of the most interactive studies we have had yet with those of reformed
theology and those who are non-reformed in theology. The main
discussion was Romans 8 but as normal people bounced around here and there,
and some of it was addressed but not all of it. In our next discussion
we will be continuing in Romans moving on to chapter 9 talking more in depth
about Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Esau, Pharaoh, and how all that proves or
disproves the doctrine of Unconditional Election. (some of this was talked
about briefly in this discussion) If you have questions about this
topic please check our previous study, or our Audio section where we have
other audios on Calvinism, or our Calvinism section where we have various
articles as well...click

Calvinism Examined Part 9 -
Unconditional Election Part 3 on Romans 9
Greetings to all you who come to our Friday Night Apologetics studies and to
those of you who listen through our website. This was another great
study and we had a good turn out of people in the room with good
interactions. In this study we addressed the main topic of
Unconditional Election and does Romans 9 teach this doctrine as Calvinists
teach. There are 5 main doctrines within Calvinism known as Total
Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace,
and the Perseverance of the Saints. (eternal security) We are
continuing in our series examining the doctrine of Unconditional Election.
If you have not listened to our previous studies we have had two prior
studies examining Romans 8 and Matthew 22. (Predestination, Election,
Chosen, Elect of God) If you have questions or comments you can email

in our Rooted series. In this live audio study discussion we discussed
the authority of the Bible, the doctrine of the Bible, the history of the
Bible, and the inspiration of the Bible. We also discussed what makes
the Bible unique in comparison to the book of Mormon, the Koran, the Verdes,
and other books that claim to be of divine origin. We had a really
good room and great discussions. You are encouraged to listen to the

Bible. This is our part 3 on the topic of Understanding the Old
Testament and this study was great. If you have not listened to
our previous studies please visit our Audio section and look for Friday
Night Apologetics.
In this study discussion there was an overview of
what the Old Testament is, learned about various people, prophecy, Torah,
Law, faith, truth, history, and much more. Along with that we had very
good discussions on the microphone giving comments, insights, and questions
on what they believe. You are encouraged to send us an email with your
thoughts from this study series. We also have a blog for people to

Rooted Series Part 5 - How
to study the Bible accurately
Welcome to another live study continuing in our
"Rooted" series. In this study the topic was how to study the Bible
accurately using what is called Inductive study tools.
Inductive studying is looking at an area of Scriptures asking questions
like: who is the one speaking; who is this written to; who is the
one speaking talking to; what was said; why was it said; where did this
happen; when did it take place; could this happen again; how does this apply
to me. |

Rooted Series Part 6 -
Knowing the God of the Old Testament
Welcome to our part 6 of our Rooted series where
we are discussing the God of the Old Testament. In this study we
looked at the oneness of God, the unity of God revealed, names of God, the
nature of God being eternal, among other things. Does the Old
Testament teach that God is only one in person or does the Old Testament
teach a unity of God? Does God only have one name?

Rooted Series Part 7-
Knowing the God of the New Testament
Welcome to another study of our Rooted series
where we are studying the God of the New Testament. In our previous
study we discussed the God of the Old Testament and that was a great study
learning about the oneness of God and the unity of God. As we move on
through the Scriptures we see the revelation of who God is as being triune
in nature and identity, known as the Trinity or Tri-Unity of God. The
Trinity doctrine is the most attacked and most misunderstood belief of
Christianity, and the purpose of this study is to help clarify this in
simple terms and understanding. Our rooms are live with Christians and
non-Christians to partake in them, and in this discussion we had many
Muslims interacting in the study. We had a great room with lots of
people, good discussions, comments, questions, and was overall a positive
study for people to grow further in the Christian faith. There was a
few moments here and there that some were being rude and disruptive, but
overall a great study. We hope that you are blessed by through this
study and that you take time to examine these things out for yourselves.
If you have questions, comments, you can email us or visit our blog and
share freely over there.

Rooted
Series Part 8 - Trinity Doctrine Explained part 2
Welcome to another study from our live online series called “Rooted”. This
is our 8th study and we are continuing from our last study on the
Trinity Doctrine Explained. We had another good turn out in our room with
lots of good discussions in the text and some good interactions on the
microphones. Unfortunately we did not have any Muslims coming to visit us
this time, but we had others who shared things that they did not agree with.
We did give opportunity for them to share on the microphone but they did not
want to discuss things openly and in an actual discussion, but rather they
wanted to vent around showing their deceptions.
We did have a solid
room with great discussions among those of the Christian faith encouraging
one another, building each other up, and answer various questions. The main
focus of this discussion was a follow up from our last study and giving
further clarification of what the Tri-Unity, Trinity Doctrine is, and
explaining in simple terms, and we also addressed common errors of those who
oppose or don’t understand. May this study be a blessing to those of you who
are seeking to grow in the Christian faith, to those of you who are
searching for a better understanding of who God is, and you are welcome to
visit our blog and share your comments or send us an email.
