One of the
main responsibilities of Church Ministry is having good Bible studies.
Bible studies are good for Christian fellowship, Christian growth, and for
spiritual training. You may ask, "What are Bible studies?" Bible
studies come in various forms.
There are
many Christians who are confused about what they believe, and having good Bible
studies available Christians can have many of their questions answered.
Bible studies are needed today because there are many
different religions out there claiming to be Christian but are not, and
through good Bible studies Christians know truth from error. Does your
Church have good Bible studies? Does your Church have Bible studies which
challenge the body of Christ to grow spiritually? Does your Church have
Bible studies that explain the doctrine of the Trinity, the Gospel, or what
non-Christian Cults teach? If you said no to any of these, than
you should bring that up to the leadership and talk to them about it.
"They were continually devoting themselves to the
apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to
prayer." (Acts 2:42 NASB)
"28 "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the
flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the
church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 "I know that after
my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;
30 and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse
things, to draw away the disciples after them. 31 "Therefore be on the
alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did
not cease to admonish each one with tears." (Acts 20:28-31
NASB)
"11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as
prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12
for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building
up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the
faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the
measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a
result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves
and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by
craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we
are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16
from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every
joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part,
causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."
(Ephesians 4:11-16 NASB)
"Be
diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not
need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth." (2
Timothy 2:15 NASB)
"14 You, however, continue in the things you have
learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are
able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is
in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17
so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
(2 Timothy 3:14-17 NASB)
"2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of
season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves
teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their
ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths." (2
Timothy 4:2-4 NASB)
"but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an
account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;"
(1 Peter 3:15 NASB)
