Essentials of Christianity

The essentials of Christianity are the Trinity, Jesus is God, Salvation by grace and heaven and hell are real. Christianity was established through Jesus Christ. Christianity is faith in Jesus Christ who came to this earth some 2000 years ago, and fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah to come. Jesus Christ established the Christian Church, and it is known as Christianity. Christianity is the faith that all true believers in Christ Jesus are united in through the New Covenant. Jesus died on the cross and gave His life as the atoning sacrifice for mankind's sins, and rose three days later. Christianity is built upon the Rock, Jesus Christ. The essentials of Christianity are the doctrines of which the Prophets, Apostles, and those whom God used to to reveal His truth to mankind through the Holy Scriptures. 

The following is a list of some of the major Essentials within Christianity:

THE TRINITY

• One God - Isaiah 43:10, Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 44:24, Isaiah 45:22

• Father is God - Galatians 1:3, 1 Peter 1:3, Jude 1

• Jesus Christ is God - Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-17, Hebrews 1:1-12

• Holy Spirit is God - Job 33:4, Psalms 104:30, John 16:7-15, Hebrews 9:14, Hebrews 10:15-18

JESUS CAME TO SAVE SINNERS, WE ARE SINNERS, THE DEVIL IS REAL

• Sin is falling short of the glory of God - Romans 3:23

• Wages of 'sin' is death - Romans 6:23

• Sin is not doing what you know is right - James 4:17

• What ever is not of faith is sin - Romans 14:23

• The Law shows we are sinners - Romans 3:19-23

HEAVEN AND HELL ARE REAL PLACES

• Heaven is a real place - Revelation 4 & 19:1-6

• The Father is in heaven - Matthew 6:9

• Jesus and the Father are in heaven - Revelation 5:1-14

• Those who are born again will go to heaven - 1 Peter 1:3-5

• A new heaven and new earth one day - Revelation 21-22

• Hell is a literal place - Luke 16:19-31

• Those whose names are not written in the book of life are thrown into the lake of fire - Revelation 20:11-15

• Jesus warned of a literal hell and place of torment - Matthew 10:28

THE GOSPEL IS THE GOOD NEWS THAT JESUS CAME TO SAVE US

Romans 5:6-11 "6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life"
