Evangelizing The Cults With The Gospel Of Jesus Christ

"but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence" (1 Peter 3:15 NASB)

"Evangelizing the Cults with the Gospel of Jesus Christ" is obeying the Biblical principles for going to all the world with the message of salvation.  There are many wonderful people who day to day go out sharing what they believe to be the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, but they have another Jesus and another gospel.

The Bible instructs Christians to share and defend the Faith

"19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 NASB)

"8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."" (Acts 1:8 NASB)

"Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints." (Jude 1:3 NASB)

What non-Christian Cults do everyday

Everyday non-Christian Cults go out sharing their faith by knocking on doors, going to parks, to hospitals, airports, libraries, and other places.  You may ask, "Who are these non-Christian Cults?"  They are the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Oneness Pentecostals, Word Faith Movement, and Muslims.  Now there are other groups that go out, but these claim to be either Christian or of the same teachings that Jesus taught.  The percentage of Christians that go out to evangelize in comparison to non-Christian Cults is shameful.  The last Dr. Walter Martin said, "Are we willing to do for the truth what the Cults do for a lie?"  Dr. Walter Martin was an expert on non-Christian Cults and Cults, and he had a wonderful ministry for both Christians and non-Christians.  He passed away in 1989, but the ministry that he started is still going.  That ministry is known as the Christian Research Institute located in California. How do we evangelize the Cults with the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  1. By being people of prayer and seeking God for them.  We pray for them come to know the grace and truth of the Gospel.

  2. By studying the Bible and knowing what we believe as Christians.

  3. By knowing the dividing doctrines that separates a person from being a Christian.  Things like those who reject the Trinity, rejecting salvation by grace, rejecting Jesus as being the only way unto the Father, rejecting Jesus being the only begotten Son of God in the flesh, and those who reject Jesus' shed blood atoning for all sins.

  4. By being patient and showing genuine love.

  5. By being bold for the faith, but at the same time respectful.

These points are crucial to evangelizing the Cults with the truth of the Gospel message.  Evangelizing takes time to grow in, to become more familiar with, and through learning you become more experienced and confident in sharing the faith.  The Christian Church (all those who are truly of Christ) needs to wake up and respond to the call of evangelizing the Cults.  Everyday there are opportunities to reach out to those around us, will you respond?
