Colossians Part 4 - Col. 2:9 The Deity of Jesus

Welcome to another great FNA through our Colossians series. This is our 4rth going through Colossians and we had another great study guys and gals, with lots of good discussions, and it was packed again.

Who is Jesus? God, The Son of God, an angel, a prophet, a wise teacher, a messenger from Allah, Lord, a lunatic, liar, false prophet, a false idol, a myth, etc. This is just a small list among many things that are said of who Jesus is and who He is not.

• 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; (NASB, Col. 2)
   

• 9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. 10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead--Father, Son and Holy Spirit--and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]. (Amplified Bible, Col. 2)

• 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (ESV, Col. 2)

• 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (NKJV, Col. 2)

• 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV, Col. 2)
   

• 9 For in Him the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority. (Holman, Col. 2)
