Friday Night Apologetics 5 25 2007 Arminianism Series Part 4 Is Eternal Security Satan's biggest lie? Responding to the extreme views of Dan Corner continued from last week (Evangelical Outreach)
Greetings to all of you who come and listen to our Friday Night Apologetics live online studies from Paltalk or those who listen later through our website. This week's study discussion is a continuation from last week examining what Dan Corner and others claim concerning the belief of Once Saved Always Saved, the doctrine of eternal security is the biggest lie of Satan! We have had some very solid and good discussions on this topic, and hopefully it continues through this one. Below are some notes from this week's FNA. If you have any comments or questions you are welcome to email us or share your thoughts at our blog. www.afcministry.blogspot.com Quote from Dan Corner
site: (graphic
of the devil speaking) "My teaching of Eternal Security also known
as Once Saved Always Saved or the Perseverance of the Saints, is the
best lie I’ve ever devised against the righteous.
Chances are, if you are like most, I will deceive and
recapture you to. Ha Ha Ha Ha"

Dan Corner: What is the fruit?
Remember, Dan was going to define and explain what “the fruit” of those whom Jesus was rejecting in Matthew 7:21-23 was going to be.
Dan Corner: 1 Jn. 3:10 practice righteousness - ones behaviour proves they are either a child of God or child of devil.
Now this is interesting to say the least. By reading this passage Dan gives the illusion that those who practice righteousness are of God. The problem is Dan never defines this directly and if one is to be honest this could give evidence for those in the Cults. Dan has made comments here and there about such and such not being a Christian, but here he has made it open which is very dangerous.
Child of God by one’s behaviour? Where is that stated here?
Dan Corner: 1 JN 3:7-8 does what sinful, of the devil, an evil doer (Matt. 24:12; Titus 2:14) sin in general/ sinning continuously…
So one who sins is of the devil, oh my goodness. Has Dan not read what Paul wrote in Romans 7:14-8:1?
Dan Corner: Eternal security people will say... (Calvinist/ Reformers/as if ES are reformed)
One note or observation here is that I have encountered many of those in the Arminian camp to label those who believe eternal security to be Calvinist, which is simply untrue.
Dan Corner: Finishing up on Matthew 7:24 therefore is an important word, why is it there? In this case the ones who hear and practice are the wise man. Luke 8:21 spiritual family are the ones who hear and puts into practice.
What else did Jesus teach on this, is this it? John 8:24, John 14:6 doctrine matters! The New Testament teaches a lot about being doers, but that is not it. There is tons on what it means to know Jesus personally, to know who He is, and that these things are essential for salvation. Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 John 5:10-13 to list some.
Dan Corner: Rain came down etc… that person who did not practice what He said. Not wise to not practice continually...Were they ever saved? Matt. 7:21-23 a smoke screen to cover a license for sin, especially the reformed people?
This is silly, just flat out wrong!
