We located the site through a search for Phillips, Craig & Dean. We were sadly greeted with a very bitter spirited article denouncing them as heretics.

I am sure our enemy (lucifer) is continually amused by the bitter finger pointing from within the ranks of Christ’s church by every little “big” man claiming his brother or sister is not part of the body of Christ over some difference of opinion here or there. I find it sad that he can keep us focusing on “religion” and not the one thing that would draw us together … OUR CREATOR.

God help us … there is a lost and dying world we have been commissioned to reach!

I thoroughly enjoy your website and debates.  I see many negative and questionable comments addressed about the Trinity. Let’s make one thing perfectly clear, God is eminent, and the full knowledge of God’s incommunicable attributes will always be beyond our knowledge. He exists above time, space, and matter and always will. As humans, we are finite and will never be at the same level (infinite) as God. Objective truth is what God wants us to discern, in other words God is, what the Bible teaches whether we believe it or not (presuppositions, pre-understandings, theology, philosophy, emotions, and worldviews aside). One must be careful in the etymological studies. Many words have different meanings throughout the Bible, and translations will vary on the textual variants. I do believe the NWT is probably the worst translation when it comes to koine Greek, but don’t take my word on it, ask any Greek scholar. The majority (mostly 99%) of Greek scholars will agree against the NWT Bible, especially on the Grandville Sharp rule in reference to Titus 2:13, Jude 1:4, and 2 Peter 1:1.

All Christians accept that the Trinity is a man-made doctrine used to articulate the fullness of all scriptures about the Father, Christ, and the Holy Spirit, the same as with any creedal (summary) statement. The Trinity doctrine is not perfect, but it bests describes God systematically throughout the NT. These creedal statements (traditions) are based upon the understanding of all the verses on that subject. I do readily admit that any creed after the first seven ecumenical councils may be questionable. I see many misnomers being made about church history, and the first articulation of the trinity. It should be recognized that some of the early Jewish sects (1st century) held to a binitarianism position, which no one really cares to research much about. I believe they were partially correct. Remember, the creedal statements were made to counter the heresies or opposition in the community. The creeds were formed to answer the questions of different views or attacks; they were not formulated as a last minute conceptualization on any such doctrine. The beliefs were held beforehand, and the creedal statements were used to re-affirm the position so as not to confuse the definition of what a Christian has always believed (affirmed by the context of all scriptures). Period.

The term trinity means three in one, not three God’s. In the Nicene and Caledonian creeds, the term person or persons did not mean the same as it means today in our language. The equivalent would be God in three (infinite) personhoods. It is further acknowledged that the trinity doctrine is not taught in scripture per se, nor did the apostles teach about the concept as a whole itself. By that, I mean that the Apostles did not sit down and teach of this concept specifically. Furthermore, the Apostles did not teach the concept of why there is something rather than nothing, or any mathematical, cosmological, ontological, or scientific arguments. You will not find the word “monotheism” in the Bible either, it is simply mans terminology defining God. The Bible assumes that one is smart enough to know that God exists (without excuse). In essence, not one of the Apostles questioned the existence of God, nor did they fully understand him.

Lastly, it is noted in the scriptures that Christ’s deity cannot be denied, for it is clearly articulated in the NT. A non-Trinitarian has to ignore these passages to base their theology. Albeit, the trinity is a difficult concept, I concur, but that does not dismiss it as not being a valid premise. For instance, try to discern Anselm’s Ontological Argument…. If you have figured it out email me please.

I am readily open for any discussions on the Trinity and its history.

Nice website Kelly!
Keep up the good work!

There has never been but one person in the Godhead and He died on the cross. That was God in the flesh. God has never and will never be a trinity. The word trinity is not in the Bible. God is a Spirit…..Selah

Thankyou so much!!!! I never really understood the Trinity. I always just assumed it meant God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were the same being. My husband (who has yet to be born again) asked me today "if God and Jesus are one being, why did Jesus ask why He had forsaken Him. I didn't know how to answer so I went looking for one and I found your site.

I am so glad to finally understand this and that I was able to explain it to my dear husband.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou

I'd like to thank you for all that you do to help people see the truth-GOD'S unchanging word before it's too late. I need all the help that I can get to continue my walk with the Lord and stay on the path. I was Catholic for over 40 years until 1998 when I was born-again. I know that it's important for others to see the "wolves" out there who seem to be innocently teaching "Gods Word" when they're really furthering their own agenda.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them-Matthew 7:20

Just wanted to say thank you for your hard work, especially regarding Jehovah's Witnesses. I was one for 23 years. My entire family are still involved, and now my grandchildren are being indoctrinated which bothers me to no end.  I'm still trying to learn how to come to know Jesus as he meant us to. Twenty three years in a cult are hard to overcome, but your site is a great help.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the information on your site. I do not know why I have developed a desire to know more about Mormonism. I do not know any Mormons nor has anyone ever knocked on my door. But, I always know that there is a reason and a purpose for everything. I want to learn more about the Mormon church and will pray that it will be helpful to me in the future. What is great is that while learning about them I also am developing a greater awareness of how important it is to know what I believe and WHY I believe it. Your website is helping me to be able to defend what I believe. Please pray for me that I will retain and learn and grow in all these things and be used by God to plant a seed in someone who is now caught up in false doctrines. Thanks again for your site.

Hi Kelly,

I would like to commend you for your ministry.  It's good to find guys like yourself who are interesting in apologetics and winning people for the Lord.  I'm sure I will find your material useful.

I'm sad that you're so opposed to the Reformed faith however.  I think you will run into serious problems when trying to defend your faith by while holding to the man centred Arminian viewpoint that you hold to. I would love to be able to dialogue with you some time on that, but also get to know you as a Christian brother in Christ.  I was interesting to listen to the debate you had with Gene Cook.  Do you listen to "The Narrow Mind" much?

Well, hope to catch you some time

Thank you for the informative article, but I must come to the defiance of Jackie McCullough she has always been a women at teaches essential Christian doctrine. She has maintaining a balance in her ministry .If you  take look closer look at what she teaches you well see that she doe’s not teach word of faith doctrine. In fact she teaches against it. Just look her teaching entitled (Christianity and spirituality), and the one on (prayer), and many more. In fact it was Jackie was the reason for leaving a word of faith church to put her in that category because she shared a platform they is not right. If this the case, then Tony Evans, Josh McDowell and Chares Stanley all must be false teaching for appearing on the trinity broadcasting network.

I am so confused with all the different doctrines.  I believe that Christianity is very simple.  It has to be simple because not everyone has a Phd.  I believe that there is such a thing as common sense Christianity.  Finding it in the church today is difficult.  I believe that there is such as thing as a prayer language, tongues, language of angels, etc.  I know that the language that I have spoken, for many years, is a God given gift.  Yet, in my church (I use to go to) I was told that it was of the devil.  Oh well, I guess I am back to the church mall.  Better yet I think I'll just let God lead me to where He wants me to go.  I do find your site inspirational.  Maybe there is a church here in Wilmington that believes the way you do.  If so please tell me where it is.

You should be thoroughly ashamed of the shameless way you attack Bishop Jakes and women in ministry. When God spoke to his prophet Joel that in the latter days his "sons and daughters" owuld receive his spirit and prophesy, he meant it. How can you discount a woman's experience of God and her work for the kingdom?
I would not have known Jesus, if a woman had not brought the gospel to me. Where were the men? Bishop Jakes is one man who has finally recognized that God does nor regard women as second-class citizens in his kingdom. Thank God for him!!  It would serve you better to promote unity and holiness, instead of this hateful spiritual bigotry.
God does not want it and neither do we.

Be very careful , I am not in any of the so called "cults" that you refer to, who decides what a cult is anyway. Christianity was considered a cult, and the word Christian (Christ in) was considered derogatory. I took my 5 year old son to enlighten me about the trinity, as it didn't make any sense to him. I told him it never made sense to me either. This took me on a journey, where I compared the different Bible translations, studied Greek and Hebrew. I wasn't trying to disprove the trinity , I only wanted to under stand it more. The reason I couldn't understand it, is that it just plain is so much B.S. I freed me and made me appreciate my saviour Jesus Christ and what he suffered more. I studied orientalisms, figures of speech, grammar and secular history. I could not make the puzzle pieces fit. God is not a God of confusion. The idea and concept of the trinitarian belief system is post first century church. It's simple if I am wrong The Father will forgive me. If you are wrong, you are responsible for what you teach, which is idolatry. God is God he doesn't need to have 3 pieces.

Thankyou for this great website, already l feel it has helped me find some truth about God and Jesus Christ.  For the last three years or so l have been feverently studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses and attending some of their meetings. But still after this amount of time and study there are still a lot doubts and niggles. I have prayed much to God to show me the true path, because l really want to know and l believe He has answered my prayers and shown me the way.

My next quest is to find a Church where l can attend to worship Christ and study further.  Do you have any suggestions as to which type of Church I should check out here in Central England, UK? There as so many and l want to attend where they beleive in the Bible as being the true and complete Word of God.

Many thanks for all your great efforts to bring information about the different faiths and the truth about the Bible. May God bless you all.

Don't worry about Patrick Harris' words and other like him..he writes to many people's guestbooks with his eisegesis of the scriptures. I have dealt with him before and he had no real answers to the Biblical refutations I supplied him which showed that since there is nothing we can 'do' to earn salvation..there is nothing we can 'do' to lose it..**as long as we are faithful to Christ**.  But having said that, he would not let go of his legalistic mindset so I decided it was best to leave him to The Holy Spirit.  Patrick is genuine in his concern, but according to what God has ACTUALLY revealed in The Bible (in context)..he is genuinely in error.  To see how, read this article I wrote if you wish: http://www.thewhyman.jesusanswers.com/photo2.html  And this more in depth article: http://www.letusreason.org/Doct8.htm

Great website. I encourage you to keep going strong in this ministry. It is well needed. Solomon wrote "he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow". My understanding of this goes to what Jesus said about the road that leads to life is narrow, and there be few that find it. I know that God has only one pre-requisite for spending eternity with Him; that is to "KNOW Him". I have extreme joy resting in the finished work of Christ and living in Him and His commandments (Doctrines of Christ), but I am saddened by those who who are not interested in the Truth. They go to a church building, the use the name of Jesus, they seem religious but are in fact not in a relationship with Jesus. "You've got to want it" is a statement I like to use regarding your relationship with God. You have got to want Jesus more than anything or anyone in your life. If you do not, your religion will be in vain.

You are biblically correct in challenging people to check out ALL religions. Many don't, and we read their comments on your Guest Page. They blindly follow without questioning (Proverbs 14:15). They don't have a clue as to what the Truth is. But, if they want it, the knowledge is readily available and the Holy Spirit will teach them if they will be open to Him. Thanks again for your hard work. Keep pressing in!

I read everything you put out and am thrilled that someone else besides myself has seen that the body as a whole is suffering. God brought me the message of Unity from Psalms many years ago and I tried to let my church know but without much success. I agree with your teachings and ache for the body. With so much division there are people that are starving. They are hanging on to old man made doctrine and not seeking the Truth of our loving Father. What you wrote about the death of Jesus is what I have always believed but you showed me through scripture that it is true, thank you. Keep doing what you do. I believe God has a blessing for those truly seek Him in Spirit and in Truth.

I just want to go on the record as saying that the United Pentecostal Church International isn't a cult.  I'm 18
years old and have been raised in a UPCI church my whole life.  I feel the call of God in my life to be a preacher of this wonderful truth.  There is but One God!  Call us Jesus Only if you want to, I don't care.  I've repented of my sins, been baptized in Jesus Name, and received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.  I know what I have experienced is real.  I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened to the Truth and you will receive the Holy Ghost.  It's for you too.  We are in the end time generation, Jesus is coming back soon.  However, he promised a great revival just before his return.  The Apostolic message is going out, people are receiving it, will you continue to mock it or will you too receive it?  If you continue to kick against the pricks your eyes will stay blinded.  This church is moving forward and upward, no matter what you or anyone else may do to try and stop it.  The gates of Hell cannot prevail against it!

MINISTRY, YOU WILL NEVER KNOW!!  THIS IS DECEIT.  PLEASE PRAY MY HUSBAND WILL RECEIVE THE REVELATION, SO WE MAY FIND GOD'S TRUE CHURCH.

God bless you Kelly. There has been too much division in the body of Christ over issues like Calvinism as you said in your controversial issues subject. It's time that apologists like you and I and so many others work together and give a strong defense for the essentials of the Christian faith and not our personal non-essentials.

I read a statement by Nate back in April 2003 and I wanted to respond to what he wrote. There are no "gifts" in this age. The gifts, healing, prophecy, etc., were used for the purpose of getting people to believe in Christ before they had the Bible. Now that we have the Bible to learn from, there is no need for the gifts. And speaking in tongues wasn't gibberish as is spoken in many churches today. The tongues were languages, spoken so that people from all different areas could hear the word of God. Churches that do this today are simply spouting meaningless words, doing it for show. And, in Matthew 10:1, it says that Jesus gave the 12 APOSTLES the gifts. If there is a scripture where someone other than an apostle had a gift then I would like to know. And if not, then that means the gifts would have died out with the apostles. And besides those scriptures, common sense tells me that there aren't gifts today because if there were, there would be NO ILLNESS.<p> Also, I read a few things in this guest book about the woman evangelist Joyce. To those who support her, I suggest reading 1 Timothy 2:8-14. These verses clearly tell us that women are not to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet in service.

I LOST MY BEST FRIEND TO KENNETH COPELAND My best friend (next to my crib in the church nursery) was my sister in everything. There wasn't anything in life that we haven't shared growing up together in a small town with a little red-bricked church. Her mom was our Sunday School teacher. Folks, we're talking about two girls raised up on the Bible in The Bible Belt. We didn't sit down to a meal that wasn't blessed. We didn't sit down to a table that didn't have a daddy at the head of the table. It was a strict and straight Christian community and we were loved. We grew up and went to college and got married and became mothers. One day she told me that she found a new church. We didn't live close and I hadn't heard of it before. First, I noticed that she didn't call as much. I just thought things were really busy for her. Then, I noticed other things that bothered me. She began to slowly cut herself off from other friends that we grew up with in church. People would ask me about this change in her and her husband. I didn't really know what to say. It was as if she became a "Stepford Wife" or something alien. It was still her face, but she wasn't home. The person that had never been MATERIALISTIC was now very different. She and her husband were building a huge house and bought an expensive German car that they could NOT afford. I could see that this lifestyle would unravel at some point. They were believing that God would just make payment happen for all the things that they wanted. I know how much she praised Kenneth Copeland and all those in that ministry. She would always hide illness in the family from everyone. Her husband's father died from cancer and they wouldn't tell anyone. It was like a sin or scar on the whole family. "No one should die and he didn't have to," she said to a family friend. In all my days on the planet, I have never watched a person totally disappear like she did. My sweet, caring, natural beauty was now bleaching her hair and wearing strange clothes. She even had her breasts enlarged. Most of the women at her church were doing it she said. I've never seen someone so caught up in this world and worldly things. As you can guess, the lifestyle did unravel. They lost everything. I knew they would not stay close to that church. Being poor was not considered a "blessed life". It would have been a sign of sin to those in their circle. If I had been her, I would probably have moved too. Anyway, they are now trying to put their lives back together. I don't know where they are spiritually right now. We do talk more these days. I guess she lost the friends from that church. It seemed to be so much about appearances of wealth and success. The pressure to "be blessed with wealth" proved to be too much for them. I pray for them everyday. I will always love my best friend. She's still in there somewhere. I have faith that she'll come back out of this. I'll be waiting with open arms for my friend.

There are many things to say in response to your page, but the main issue today is SIN. If you still SIN, you are NOT SAVED. (I John 3:8,9) People will try to find many excuses for their sins in the Word of God, but Titus 2:11,12 states: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY LUSTS, WE SHOULD LIVE SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GODLY IN THIS PRESENT WORLD. I Corinthians 15:34- Awake to righteousness and SIN NOT. Jesus specifically told two different people- "Go And Sin No More."  This is not something we can do in our own strength, but once we repent and are WILLING to FORSAKE SIN, God will give us grace to live holy. (Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world) God has A CHURCH- (the Church of God spoken of in the New Testament- Ephesians 5:27- "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." I did not like what I found on your site, because "Once Saved, Always Saved" is NOT true. Scripture proves it. You just misinterpret the word of God. May God bless you though. You keep the faith no matter what, OK? Because some Christians depart from, cast off, or stray from the faith (1 Tim. 4:1, 5:12, 6:10,21). One can fall from grace (Gal. 5:4-7). If we don't continue in God's goodness, we will be cut off (Romans 11:17-22). If our speech becomes tasteless, we will be thrown out (Luke 14:34,35). One can sell their birthright (Heb. 12:15-17). For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins - Heb. 10:26. Look what Paul knew could have happened to him (1 Cor. 9:27), or to an elder (1 Tim. 3:6-7), or see what can happen to any Christian (2 Peter 2:20,21). I hope you aren't one of those who will not endure sound doctrine (2 Tim. 4:3,4). I hope for your best. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

I Peter 3:15 "...and be ready to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear"

Here is your answer!

I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifested in flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Acts 2:38 They baptized in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

Acts 8:16 Those whose received the Holy Ghost had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 19:5 They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

Job 13:8-10 8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God? 9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him? 10 He will surely reprove you, if do secretly accept persons.

I feel that it is appropriate to point out that the Oneness argument about the nature of the Godhead leaves much to be desired. They claim that "Father", "Son" and the "Holy Spirit" are all just alternative titles to a unitarian deity. But no. It can't be. Are the personal pronouns "He" "him" and "his" "titles for a unitarian being? How does one explain the Scriptures which use multiple personal pronouns to refer, for example, 1 Corinthians 15:28 "And when all things unto HIM, then shall the Son HIMSELF be subject unto HIM that put all things under HIM, that God may be all in all." So we see from this, (and there are more examples if this in the Bible) that the "Son" is more than a title, it is SOMEONE. And as it reads SOMEONE called Son will be subject to SOMEONE else. The "Jesus Only" play silly games with these texts and yet are super critical of others who have an interpretation which satisfies what the revealed information requires--no, forces us to think. Well, God bless

I was saved about 3 years ago. I am still a baby Christian. Being in the Air Force has made it difficult

for my husband and I to settle down and find a church that's right for us. Since we've moved up here to Minot (8 months ago) it's also been difficult to find other Christians to fellowship with. When we were down in Florida, I had a really strong Christian friend that was helping me in my Christian walk (i.e. answering any questions and just listening to me and counseling me with problems) But now that I'm up here I almost feel alone and don't really have anyone to talk to and answer questions that pop up. I found your information on Kenneth Copeland interesting about watching out for false teachers. I was receiving their Faith to Faith Ministry by email once a day and I was really enjoying it. But now

that I've read the things that you wrote about them, about them believing things that aren't Christian, I'm confused now and worried about who I CAN and CAN'T trust. Which is VERY important to me since I am a baby Christian. I know that one of my defenses against false teachers is reading my bible more, but I'm still concerned that I will still be lied to and not know it. Please help! Sara Covey

I'm a One God, Apostolic Pentecostal. I "KNOW" that there is only ONE God and his name is Jesus Christ. It's not debatable. Let me ask you, Do you pray before you read the bible asking God to reveal his Truth, or do you just jump in assuming you already know before you even read. For God said, Is there a God beside me, I know not any. Meaning plainly there is no other God. First John 3:16 (not just the popular John 3:16 we're used to hearing, but 1st John 3:16) Says that God so loved the world that he died.) Not his son, but him. So if you say Jesus is God the son and that's what it was referring to then your saying there is two Gods, but God knows not any other. Please read it again.) Scripture says to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, notice those names are not plural but singular. That was how he told to be baptized - but noticed when the actual baptisms in the bible take place they are baptized in Jesus name. Why? because they understood God, they knew that when he said in the "NAME" of the father son and Holy Ghost, that that "NAME" is "JESUS" so they obeyed.

I hope that you realize that if God is using Benny Hinn and others that you malign, that you are not opposing man, but God. We are called to pray for people who have sinned or who we "think" to be in error. It is the Holy Spirit's job to convict , lead, and yes, straighten each other out not mine or yours. Even Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery. It's the kindness of God that draws men to repentance. Please learn to be quick to forgive and even quicker to pray for anyone that you may disagree with and I'm sure that God would be much happier with that. Thanks

I am a Christian, belonged and attended various denominations. I am a "free Spirit" who loves God very much. I go where my "spirit" leads me. I believe the Holy Spirit indwells me and I listen to Him. I am at peace with the Lord. Trouble is too many listen to others' beliefs and many feel guilty if they do not agree with others' dogma and beliefs. I never spoke in tongues and don't care, as I still will go to Heaven. I don't put too much stock in the devil, Satan or whatever people want to call him. True, he may exist but he can't harm me for I put my faith in Christ. He said, Get behind me Satan. That's what I say too. Satan is not as strong or influential as God. The devil does not make anyone do it...God gave man free will! We are put here on Earth to follow God's will or to learn a lesson when we didn't or

don't do God's will. The Bible is a good book, gives guidelines and is on the whole inspirational BUT has been adulterated, misinterpreted and reinterpreted over the centuries. Beginning with Charlemaine or thereabouts, the Bible stories have been deleted for religion control purposes, beautiful books deleted (Apocrypha), people's superstitions and fears, and on and on. People interpret differently and each are sure they are right. I used to feel guilty if I did not agree with other leaders' beliefs, etc. but no more. I pray and meditate for spiritual answers and healings. The Bible has many contradictory passages for everybody to agree. The Lord's Prayer is my main prayer because it proposes "Thy Will be done" and I pray to God to do His will every day. So what if people say God manifests in Jesus, the Holy Spirit or if people say there are three distinct Persons in God. It all means the same...just semantics. Oneness Pentecostals believe you have to speak in tongues to enter Heaven. Wrong. This is just one example of many that Christians/people alike have through reading scriptures that have been translated wrong down through history. Get what I mean? Jesus was baptized with water, so it is good enough for me. I believe in receiving the Eucharist (Holy Communion) for Jesus said very plainly at the Last Supper," do this in remembrance of me"...the bread and wine, "this is My Body and Blood". Also a bunch of weirdo's on TBN. What differences in their beliefs all under one Network! Write more about them. I have researched many of them out. As for your organization, you have your opinions that I do not totally agree with. How do you interpret UFO's and other phenomena? I have seen them 3 times in my life, some with others. The Bible is very poetic about visitations from outer space or could be other dimensions? So man interprets differently, but the least fearful and/or simplistic way is to explain it off as demons. Actually, we don't know...so we believe what we think we know. Please research more of what is happening in these amazing and fearful times of Today. Thank you.

Do you guys have any idea how stupid you sound. You all just babble on like idiots with no goal to their illogical rantings. You make me sick and I find your beliefs to be both detestable and hilarious. There is no reason to believe in your god or anyone else's. There is no evidence whatsoever to support the existence of any deity. No one should have the right to put this much ignorance on the internet...not even the government. Your "God" is a paper-thin veil to hide the way Christians subjugate, oppress, and torment people for no reason other than fear and greed. I hope you all learn

the truth or die before I'm forced to face any of you and listen to your ignorant rantings.

I think some teachers get into error by trying to explain things simply and don't realize they are getting into error at all. however I do think it is important to correct them where possible and I hope to learn more from you as I read into your articles. thank you. how about a place where we can all talk together. some sort of chat forum etc. By the way. Scotland is a fab place so come visit.
