Watchtower Bible and Tract Society says: "No one can understand the Bible without the aid of the faithful and discreet slave's publications!"
The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is a religious organization which controls their members lives, actions, and thinking. Jehovah's Witnesses go from place to place preaching what they believe to be the truth because that is what they have been taught to believe. In other words, Jehovah's Witnesses cannot go against or disagree with what the Watchtower teaches, because to do so would mean to be going against God's only provision for spiritual guidance. Below are some quotes which prove that the Watchtower claims total control of their members in which they cannot think or interpret the Scriptures for themselves, but only through the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society!
Does the Bible teach what the Watchtower claims to be? The answer is, no! The Bible in no way teaches that some religious organization is to have complete control and dictate what people are to believe. God does not force His truth upon people, but gives them the responsibility to accept or reject the revelation given. Throughout the New Testament Christians are encouraged to be led by the Holy Spirit, not some organization. (Acts 17:10-11, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:15)
Is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society the Faithful and Discreet Slave? Jesus asked the question, "Who then is a faithful and wise servant", which is the question at hand. The context of Matthew 24:45 is the second coming of Jesus and the importance of being ready for His return.
Examining Matthew 24 the whole message is in reference to the second coming of Jesus Christ, and it is very important to keep that in mind. Jesus speaks of one being ready and one not being ready left in the field. And Jesus speaks of two women grinding at a mill, one being ready and the other not being left behind. When Jesus speaks of faithful and wise servant the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has interpreted this to mean a special group of people which has been given all spiritual responsibilities to govern God's people. However, looking at these Scriptures in context there is nothing remotely close to what the Watchtower's interpretations. Simply put, the meaning of Matthew 24:45 is for those who are looking for and are ready for the return of Jesus Christ and them being will rewarded, and those who do not know the Lord and are not ready for Jesus' return will be go through the judgments to come and be judged themselves. Looking at other Scriptures Jesus speaks of those who claim to know Him and them being self deceived with a false relationship, them being rejected, separated, and judged by Jesus. (Matthew 7:21-24, Matthew 25:31-46) Conclusion The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is not the Faithful and Discreet Slave (faithful and wise servant) as they claim to be, but they are a false religious organization which has misinterpreted the Scriptures to their own destruction and have led many astray.
